John & Sandi from Corsicana, Tx
Lake living at its finest! This whole home remodel was modernized through the use of all new finishes and fixtures such as flooring, paint, countertops, tile, plumbing and lighting. The main area of concern for the homeowner was that many walls blocked their view of the lake when spending time in the kitchen and dining room. By removing the confusing angled walls that separated the entry hall, kitchen, dining and living room we created a spacious open concept family space with unobstructed views of the lake. The base cabinets in the dining room were repurposed as the island cabinet in the new kitchen so that the cabinet finishes would remain consistent throughout. In the master bath, we changed the shower layout to create storage space and utilize the unused bathtub area. This new shower is bigger and brighter due to its location adjacent to the new frosted glass window. This home's transformation was capped off by incorporating new furnishings in the living room and kitchen. We selected fabrics for the new loveseat, swivel chair, and counter stools that coordinate with the existing rug, sofa and dining chairs. What a treat to curl up in the chair with a hot beverage and enjoy the stunning lake views!
